Specifying Architectural Specialties
Working with ATS to specify any Architectural specialties and products for Division 10 is a simple process.
Step 1: Adding the Product
Begin by selecting the project you want to work on. Once opened, click on the “Add products by” drop down menu and select “Architectural Specialties”.
From here, you will be greeted with a wide range of architectural products offered by ATS Spec. For this example, we’ll be walking through how to specify a Toilet partition, which we can get to by selecting the associated icon.
Step 2: Specifying the product
You can begin by browsing through the different product filters, which are specific to the product characteristics. As you pick an option, ATS will automatically filter the products to meet your requirements. On the left hand side bar, you can also search for a product name or number.
Once you’ve found the product you would like, you can click “Show Options” to further configure the product to your exact needs.
All products will have their own product specific options. In this specific case, we can select the color, as well as a few additional options. Changing any of these settings will automatically update the model number and per unit price (MSRP) . Once you’ve finished configuring the product, you can click “Select” to finalize the selection, or “Reset”, to reset the product to its defaults.
Once you’ve selected all products, ATS Spec will ask you to label your drawing and give it a sequence number. This is entirely optional, however it does help you sort and organize your products when you print later and download formats like Schedules and, Revit Families.
Step 3: Finalizing your Download
After your drawing is labeled, ATS Spec will show you the drawing for the product(s) you just selected. Simply review the product(s). “Save and Continue” will allow you to return to the product page and specify more products, whereas “Save and Download” will allow you to download your specification. If you’ve made a mistake, just click “Edit Products” to return to the product editing stage in Step 2.
