On February 8th, 2019, Hat-Trick for Humanity took off. This exciting event brought a community of engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, and product manufacturers alike together in support of SickKids Foundation. All funds made from the event benefit the construction of the their new hospital! This event consisted of a round-robin style hockey tournament (3v3) along with amazing prizes, great food, and plenty of other fun activities for children and adults. We were more than happy with the turnout and support.
Updates from the Game:
Playing 10-minute round robin matches, and 15-minute playoff games, the tournament held two brackets (A and B). Bracket A’s finals was an intense match-up facing off with the Dobbin Wildcats and the Entrust Engineering Danglers. The winners of the Bracket A, were the Entrust Engineering Danglers. Congratulations to them for taking home the trophy!
Another exciting match up was the night’s winners for Bracket B. The Uponor & Harding Display Mighty PEX, who, after a difficult battle, prevailed over the Dialog Design. Congratulations them for taking home the trophy!
All teams were truly entertaining. They were energetic, highly skilled and they brought their love of hockey to the tournament. We hope to see all of them again next year.

Food & Prizes:
Hosted by Captain Oshawa, Hat-Trick for Humanity also had 50/50 draws for great prizes such as a two Toronto Leaf tickets, a signed Leaf hockey stick, a signed Don Cherry Jersey, a 50 inch T.V., and more! Players and guests played Table Tennis, Foosball, and skated on the mini rink. With a full day of hockey games and fun activities, we also had great food ready for all to enjoy, and what would Canadians serve? BeaverTails and poutine, along with yummy burgers, hot dogs, and french fries.
