Franke is dedicated to ensuring that designers have the most up-to-date information on commercial technologyfor hand hygiene in the healthcare sector to help increase health and safety and limit the spread of illness. Asa result, this course was created to discuss “Engineered Infection Prevention”. This CEU aims to teach attendees about the importance of proper hand hygiene with emphasis on limiting the spread of healthcare acquiredinfections (HAI) – one of the leading causes of nosocomial deaths. It aims to create awareness on the widelyoverlooked issues of poor hand hygiene and surface disinfection and how they can be mitigated by leveragingtechnology within the room design.
