Event Details

Shockingly, thirty four percent of admissions to burn centers are due to scalds. Protecting restroom users from scalding is critical in commercial applications. Though thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) are a common way to regulate water temperature, they can add unnecessary time and costs to your project. Historically, these valves were separate from the faucet, representing a separate component to be specified, installed and maintained. This course will explore how to prevent scalding with commercial faucets and what it means to be ASSE1070 certified.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define scalding and how it can be prevented
  • Identify ASSE1070 standards
  • Understand how an integrated thermostatic hot water temperature limiter can improve commercial restroom faucet operation and reduce installation and lifecycle costs.
  • Identify integrated faucets on the market with ASSE1070 standards
